"Security forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave civilians and soldiers further strength our resolve."
Earlier yesterday, security forces killed eight terrorists while conducting an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Sararogha area of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s South Waziristan district.
According to ISPR, an intense fire exchange took place between the troops and terrorists during the operation, which was carried out after receiving information about their presence.
The slain terrorists were involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces as well as innocent civilians.
The ISPR statement continued that weapons, ammunition, and explosives were also found in the slain terrorists’ possession.
“A sanitization operation is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area as the security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country,” the statement concluded.
