Three separate attacks in Dera Ismail Khan and Kurram tribal district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) on Sunday left three people injured.
In the initial incident, unidentified assailants targeted a police post near the toll plaza, taking advantage of the dense fog in the area. Despite the challenging conditions, the police successfully repulsed the attack, engaging in a firefight that lasted about 20 minutes. Fortunately, there were no casualties reported in this incident.
In a parallel occurrence, two individuals sustained injuries in a roadside improvised explosive device (IED) attack on an official vehicle in the Kulachi area of DI Khan.

The attack unfolded in the Loni area of Kulachi, prompting security forces to swiftly cordon off the entire locality. Preliminary investigations indicated that the IED was a remote-controlled device strategically planted along the roadside. Both wounded individuals were promptly transported to a local hospital for medical attention.
In a separate and unfortunate incident in the Sadda area of Kurram district, a child named Zainullah, aged 10, suffered injuries due to a mortar shell explosion. The injured child was taken to the hospital for necessary medical care.
