'0.5m youth to be ‘sent abroad for jobs in a year’

Caretaker Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Justice (retd) Syed Arshad Hussain Shah has said that the provincial government is working under the ‘Khushal Pakhtunkhwa Initiative’ to empower the youth by imparting them skills and trainings as per the demand of international job markets with an aim to ensure their employability in different foreign countries. “Under the Human Capital Export Strategy of the caretaker provincial government, 500,000 youth of the province will be trained and sent to the foreign countries in a year,” Arshad said while addressing the 10th Parents Day event at Kernal Sher Khan Cadet College Swabi where he was the chief guest on Saturday. Read K-P to launch skills initiative for youth He termed the youth a real asset of the nation and leaders of the future, urging them to focus on their studies, to work hard in order to meet the expectations of their parents as well as the entire nation, and to enable themselves to deal with the challenges ahead, adding that they would have to shoulder great responsibilities in the time to come with regard to national development for which they needed to prepare themselves.
