At least six terrorists were killed and their hideout destroyed in a successful operation conducted by the security forces in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s North Waziristan district last night, the military said on Saturday.
According to a press release issued by the military’s media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), on the night of May 3 and 4, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation on reported presence of terrorists.

During the conduct of operation, intense fire exchange took place between troops and the terrorists, as a result of which six terrorists were sent to hell, it said. Terrorists’ hideout was also busted during the operation, it added.
According to the ISPR, the killed terrorists remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces as well as target killings of innocent civilians in the area.
Sanitisation operation is being conducted in the area by the security forces, who remain determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country, the military’s media wing said.
