Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Ali Mohammad Khan has been rearrested following his release on bail on Tuesday. According to reports, PTI leader Ali Mohammad Khan was rearrested after his release on bail obtained from an anti-corruption court. Earlier in the day, the court granted post-arrest interim bail to the incarcerated PTI leader in a case pertaining to alleged fraudulent hiring within the fisheries department, causing a loss of Rs2.3 million to the national exchequer. The anti-corruption court granted the PTI leader interim bail against a surety bond worth Rs80,000. At the time, Khan was on judicial remand in Mardan Central Prison. Following his release, AntiCorruption Establishment (ACE) officials promptly detained him in connection with a new case registered at the Mardan Anti-Corruption department just a day ago involving the alleged embezzlement of funds in various contracts. In the new case, several former assembly members, including ex-provincial minister Mohammad Atif, have been named as defendants. This is the sixth time that the PTI leader has been taken into custody. He was first arrested by Islamabad capital territory police on May 11 under Section 3 of the Maintenance of Public Order Order (MPO) in a case relating to violent protests and assaults on civil and military installations on May 9.
