Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Caretaker Minister for Information, Auqaf, Hajj, Religious and Minority Affairs, Barrister Feroze Jamal Shah Kakakhel, stated that six projects are currently being completed in K-P under the Pak China Economic Corridor (CPEC). He emphasized that the friendship between Pakistan and China has withstood various challenges and remains eternal. Addressing a global seminar commemorating the completion of 10 years of CPEC and the Belt Road Initiative (BRI), Kakakhel expressed these views. The seminar, held at a local hotel in Peshawar, was attended by Chinese delegates, investors, officials from CPEC companies, students, social and business figures, as well as individuals from diverse backgrounds. During the seminar, speakers highlighted the significance of CPEC and the BRI, underscoring their essential role in Pakistan’s economic and social development. In the first session of the event, Kakakhel stated that Pakistan-China friendship is everlasting and will continue to deepen and strengthen in the future. He noted that the roots of CPEC can be traced back to the ancient Silk Route. K-P has witnessed the establishment of six major projects under the transformative CPEC initiative, which have provided employment opportunities for the province’s youth. Kakakhel acknowledged the delays experienced by CPEC projects during the previous regime and called for collective efforts to overcome these delays and bottlenecks.
