Pashtun Culture Day was celebrated in different parts of Balochistan, including its provincial capital Quetta, on Saturday with traditional zeal and enthusiasm.
Various cultural events and musical performances were organized in different cities including Quetta, Loralai, Pishin, Chaman, Musakhail, Killa Abdullah, Ziarat, Killa Saifullah, Zhob, Duki and other Pashtun-dominated districts of the province to mark the day.
Pashtun men, women and children wore traditional attire as they took part in the festivities.
Attan, a Pashtun community dance, was also performed at the events to mark the day.
In the provincial capital, a ceremony was held on the Metropolitan Corporation Quetta (MCQ) lawn where stalls were set up which highlighted Pashtun culture and its history, contribution to the country’s uplift and landmark achievements.
Students from various institutions of the provincial capital attended the event in large numbers.
The culture shows were followed by folk music performances and literary events that aimed to promote the culture, customs, food and several other aspects of Pashtun culture that are well-known around the globe.
Balochistan Caretaker Chief Minister Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki, in his message, congratulated Pashtun brothers on Pashtun Culture Day on Saturday and appreciated them for keeping tribal traditions.
