Dengue cases see surge in K-P

The number of dengue cases in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has seen a rise with 18 new cases reported from six districts in just one week, bringing the total number in the province to 448. According to a report by the health department, Peshawar is witnessing a steady increase in dengue cases, with the number of cases inching closer to a hundred. Currently, 94 dengue cases have been reported in the city. The report also reveals that dengue has spread to 14 districts in the province. Read More: Dengue control forsaken in K-P Swabi has reported the highest number of cases at 66, followed by Mardan with 45 cases. Several isolated cases have also been reported from various districts in the province. The first week of October saw 18 new cases reported from Kohat, Malakand, Lakki Marwat, Swabi, and Peshawar. Dengue response teams have been actively involved in identifying and eliminating larvae. During their visits, 124 houses have been identified as positive for larvae.
